Sustainable Development and Human Security were on the Agenda for a group of undergraduates from the International Political Economy and Diplomacy, and Criminal Justice and Human Security programs at University of Bridgeport when they attended Briefings at the United Nations on Friday 20 November 2015.

Briefings were given by Mr. Kirit Patel (Sustainable Development Goals), and Dr. Mehranz Mostafavi (Chief of the Human Security Unit). Each gave a presentation and answered poignant and passionate questions posed by the students, some of who were from states in the Global South and were able to speak directly to the themes and issues addressed by the speakers.

The students took the UN Tour prior to the Briefings.
